FAQ's

Answers to some of the most Frequently Asked Questions can be found here.  Have a question that hasn't been answered?  Feel free to submit it through the Contact Form :)

01

Why is there a "Session Fee"?

Your session fee pays for the photographer's time and talent.  This includes not only the time she spends on location or in the studio with you, but also time spent prepping prior to the session and image processing after the session.

02

I'm not photogenic at all.  What if my photos are awful?

Most people think that they don't photograph well for some reason or another.  Truth is, anyone can look good in a photo - as long as they know a few industry tricks.  If you're concerned about a problem area, let your photographer know - odds are, she's got a few tricks up her sleeves to camouflage the issue or hide it completely.  Also, if there's a reason you're not completely satisfied with the outcome of your session, your photographer will be more than willing to work with you to ensure your happiness - just ask :)  No photographer wants their clients to walk away feeling shorted.

03

I want to share my photos on the web. Can I have them on disc?

You will receive processed images edited specifically for web-usage after your session.  Please feel free to post these photos on your social media sites as you would like.  It is required, however, that you give photo credit to Life•in•Color Photography on all images posted online and that the images not be cropped or manipulated in any way; the watermark must also remain intact.  Please be aware these web-use photos will NOT (unless otherwise specified) include print rights.

04

I saw these amazing ideas on ___. Can you replicate them?

Inspiration and ideas are always welcome, and your photographer will do whatever she can to fulfill your wishes.  Please be aware, however, that each photographer has their own unique artistic style, and yours is no exception.  Artistic integrity is very important in this industry.  So, while your ideas may not be replicated exactly, they will have the unique imprint of your photographer's own style - which is one of the reason's you're here :)

05

What should I wear for my session?

Figuring out what to wear doesn't have to be complicated.  A large part of your wardrobe decision will depend on the type of session we'll be doing; i.e. will weather play a factor, how many people are being photographed, etc.  The key to any good photo session is to just be yourself.  Your clothing selection should reflect your style and personality, because that's exactly what we're trying to capture.  Check out the FAQ section's "What to wear guide" for tips on how to put together outfits both you and the camera will love!
